David Murrow wrote a book called “Why Men Hate Going to Church”.
Chuck Colson said “We have exchanged Biblical Truth for therapy.”
Which made me think: Go to a mall, ask 100 men the following question, “You are in a room with a television that only gets two programs. Oprah and Ultimate Fighting. Which one are you going to watch?”
Is church more like Oprah than UFC? Have the songs we sing changed from “Rise up O man of God” to “Jesus, lover of my soul”?
Near as I can tell, when Jesus comes back, it isn’t going to be to talk about feelings or self-esteem…..
